Back To School Resource Rally By LaMinda Villarreal, LMSW HCFS

Each July, nonprofits throughout the community gather to support the efforts of Boerne Independent School District, to prepare the incoming students for the brand new school year.

This family-friendly event focuses on equipping students with no cost, essential, back-to- school items; needed for a fresh start to a new year. By partnering with other agencies and organizations in our community, HCFS can amplify our impact and extend vital support to those who need it most.

Services available at the Resource Rally include:

-Registration assistance -Backpacks -Vision screenings -Immunization information -School supply sign up -Transportation information -Reduced lunch applications -After school programming applications -Additional family resources

HCFS is proud to supply hygiene bags to each student in attendance at the event. We pack Day 1 Bags lunch totes with shampoo, conditioner, bodywash, a wash rag, toothpaste, toothbrush, hairbrush and deodorant to ensure each student can look and feel their best on the big day.
