• In Virginia she worked for Carillon Hospital as an Educational Consultant to assess and diagnose children with life long disabilities

Missy brings a beautiful tapestry of experience and life to our board. Everything from a Title I school teacher for immigrant and refugee 5th grade students in Boston, to owning a winery/vineyard in Comfort, TX. Missy and her husband Andy have 4 children, 3 in college and 1 still at home. Missy says, “It is exciting to see how God’s hand has protected us through this journey, and I imagine that when He sees the work at Singing Water and its effect on our family, I think it brings Him smiles and maybe a giggle or two. It’s fun to co-create with the Creator of the Universe.” We are excited to have Missy on HCFS’ board.

Rick Goodrich — Chief of Safety & Security BISD

Rick Goodrich brings more than two decades of federal law enforcement and military leadership to his role overseeing safety and security. He served 22 years as an investigator with the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) and 22 years with the United States Air Force.

During his DEA career, Rick supervised the San Antonio Texas Anti-Gang Initiative, a multi-agency task force, and commanded the DEA Houston Division's Special Response Team. He is a certified FEMA Incident Commander and NIMS Coordinator for the Department of Justice, and over the course of his career he responded to numerous critical incidents, including at the World Trade Center on 9/11.

Rick holds a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from Middle Tennessee State University and is a graduate of the Air Force Command and Staff College. He and his wife, Heather, live in the Hill Country and have a daughter, Maddie, a Baylor University student.

Joe Tidwell - Joe has been in Boerne since 1985, he is a graduate of Texas A&M,

Marine Corps Officer, a Combat Veteran in OIF and OEF, when he retired from the Marine Corps he pursed a PhD in Psychology with a concentration in Cognitive Neural Systems from the University of Maryland He served 2 terms on BISD School board and one year as president. Joe Currently runs his own business in the data sciences field. He is also a musician and songwriter. Joe is married to Sharon, they have for kids, his oldest 2 girls (twins) are in college at A&M and Belmont in Nashville, a son who is a senior at Champion, and their youngest who is a sophomore at Boerne High.
